Graduation Rates
Defined as:
The number of matriculated students as of the four-year rate reported in August (after summer sessions). At the release of the 2018 Baseline Report, the Westchester County graduation rate was 89.6%.
GPS4Kids Reflections:
By exploring these numbers, we hope to unveil the successes and challenges of getting students to graduate within a four-year time frame. In addition to the August graduation rate, we will also discuss:
-
If a four-year timeline is reasonable for the majority of students
-
The demographics of students who graduate in four years versus six years
-
Main factors impeding students from graduating within four years
-
Additional supports provided between June-August to ensure success for students matriculating in the summer session
